The music industry has been broken for decades. Labels own 100% of artist IP. Artists sign away their rights in perpetuity. Recoupment debt is marked up 3-5x. Revenue tracking is opaque, with 6-month delays. Most artists never see a dollar.
We're fixing this with a radically different model: artists keep 70% equity, see revenue from day one with no recoupment, and get real-time transparency through our proprietary Hatchery OS platform.
The Hatchery was founded by Tom Lowry (Kier Sawyer), who brings a unique combination of fintech expertise and artistic experience. Over 20 years in banking and financial services, Tom led six acquired fintech companies with $3B+ combined revenue and 5,000+ team members.
But Tom is also an artist and producer with 30 years of experience under the name Kier Sawyer. He's seen both sides: building billion-dollar financial infrastructure AND experiencing predatory label deals that left him with nothing.
This combination of technical expertise and personal pain point led to The Hatchery—a full-stack venture studio that combines world-class infrastructure, AI intelligence, and transparent fintech to empower creators.
We're launching our first facility in Jacksonville, FL in Q3 2026, starting with 20 artists in our founding cohort.

We're not competing with Nashville or LA. We're building the blueprint for a scalable model that honors Jacksonville's roots while creating modern infrastructure.
